Leonardo Da Vinci
He made important scientific discoveries, yet he never published his ideas.
Leonardo Da Vinci
He was one of the greatest Italian Renaissance painters, yet he completed very few paintings.
Alan Archer Ogliari
He creates classic shape and form, yet he reinvents the silhouette.
Leonardo dreamt of enabling people to fly and famously wrote of being inspired by the touch of a bird whilst in his childhood.
In this collection Alan's cut is inspired by Leonardo's flying machines, his simplicity of engineering and his observations to faithfully reproduce the structure of the birds wing.
Leonardo's first flying machines dated between 1483 and 1486. A Five metre screw made of reed, wire and linen that would be turned by four people standing on a central platform were the earliest known designs of the modern day helicopter.
