Alan Archer Ogliari, an only child, was born in 1976 in Curitiba, South
Brazil, characterised by its high standard of living and being the most
diverse country on the planet.
On moving to London in 1999 he studied Fashion and Design at
Westminster College graduating with the much acclaimed urban collection
'Saturn' - a collection solely dedicated to the use of denim, a strong
concept developed for use in manufacture.
This was collection No.5, whilst in Brazil Alan had already shown four
other collections featuring dresses mainly in jersey and crepe
georgette and it was in Brazil that he developed a passion for hand
painting fabrics, which have become such a trade mark along with his
unique cutting and hand sculpting which make Alan one of the
most exciting Couturiers in London today. This exciting fusion of hot
Latin passion with European elegance is best shown in his latest
Collections No.10 The Gaudi Collection influenced by ornamentation, the
laws of nature and abstract sculptures with the highest aesthetic
experience and No. 11 Symbology the art of expression by symbols, a
subject currently at the centre of Dan Brown's controversial The Da Vinci
Code. In this collection Alan expresses cutting edge couture and pushes
the boundaries with the most elegant, vital and wearable clothing.
